Year 6 looked at scale on maps.
They measured distances on the playground with the trundle wheel.
Afterwards they worked as groups to devise an appropriate scale for their sketch maps

Following their work locating African countries, year 3 have used their knoweldge of border and shape recognition to identify countries on digital maps. Geography is a great way to practise their computing skills.
