Polish Language Celebration Day
We had great fun learning all about Poland- a language spoken by many children in our school.
We created fact files to show what we had learning about the country and the culture; made Polish ginger biscuits; learned the Polish language with Miss Galecka; developed our football skills (a popular sport in Poland), as well as visiting the Polish food market in the hall where we got to taste the different food that the others classes had baked. Yum!
We’ve had great fun this half term, learning about the history of our local area. We have especially enjoyed looking a wide range of artefacts to help us discover what Skelmersdale and Bishop Martin used to be like, as well as interviewing people to help us find out more about how the area and our school have changed.
