Science- Our Spring Walk

DT - Textiles (Puppets)

In DT, we have started our learning on textiles. We were learning the different ways to join two pieces of fabric together. We used safety pins, staples and glue. We decided that the staples worked best to hold the fabric together. The glue took a while to dry and the join was not very strong.

World Book Day 

Police Visit

As part of our Safer Internet day, the police came to visit school and they Grey Rabbits has lots of fun trying on the uniforms and exploring the police van. 

English- Little Red Riding Hood

In English, we have started reading Little Red Riding Hood. We were taking on the role of the characters and were interviews about out thoughts and feelings. We did brilliantly and really enjoyed being Little Red and the very hungry wolf! 

Rabbits really enjoyed retelling the story with puppets and characters.

Rabbits have really enjoyed using talk for write to help us to remember the story. We had fun sequencing the story and looking at the key events. 

Gymnastics: rolls; balances and jumps

Science - Materials 

In Science we have completed an investigation testing if certain materials float or sink. We recorded our findings well.

In Science, we have been learning all about materials. We were able to sort them based on their properties. 

In Science, we have been learning all about the different materials that objects can be made from. We looked around our classroom and grouped the objects depending upon what material has been used. 

DT - Moving Vehicles

In DT, we have been learning all about moving vehicles. We know they need wheels, axis, axis holders. We made a prototype using card. 

PSHE - My Healthy Body 

In PSHE, we have been learning all about how we can look after ourselves. We know what being healthy means and we know that the types of food we put into our bodies can effect the way we feel. 

Maths - Shape 

In Maths, we have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. We were challenged to group the 2D shapes in different ways. We grouped them by shape, amount of corners and the number of sides.

Computing

We have been learning about the differences between hardware and software; scanning QR codes; creating algorithms and de-bugging, as well as communicating online via emails.

R.E

We have been listening to a re-telling lots of the stories of the miracles that Jesus told. Look how scared we looked before Jesus calmed the storm...
